The route starts at Chalet La Primula (1060 m) almost at the end of the Val da Rin tarmac road climbing the Baiòn valley initially on a mule track and then, after the great Albergo de Baiòn rock (1650 m approx.), to the left on footpaths just under Bivacco Fanton (1750 m). The path then continues on steep scree slopes to the first of two cols separating Ciastelin della Croda Bianca, i.e. Forcella Baiòn (2234 m) leaving Forcella Peronàt at 2207 m to the right. It then descends on grassy southern slopes to Rifugio Baiòn (1828 m) often accompanied on the way by curious ibex. At the refuge with its exceptional panoramic views of the Centro Cadore Dolomites the route takes the linking footpath to Rifugio Ciareido (1969 m) which climbs up the ridge beneath the Ciastelin slopes with its characteristic ‘Pupo’. From here it climbs quickly to Forcella Paradiso (2045 m) with views over the Auronzo Dolomites and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo before descending rapidly in the Pomadònna narrow gorge and scree to the crossroads with the Poòrse valley road which takes you back to your starting point.
